24/7 Storage Brisbane

Access your storage at any hour, 365 days a year. Containers from $349/mo and open-air vehicle bays from $250/mo, all on sealed bitumen with drive-up access.

Plenty of Brisbane storage yards advertise "24/7 access". Far fewer actually give it to you. Some lock the gate overnight. Some open at 9am. At least one asks for two business days' notice before you can reach your own goods. At Storage Land, 675 Beaufighter Avenue, Archerfield, you get a PIN for the gate and you use it whenever you like, including Christmas Day, at no extra cost.

What "24/7 Access" Actually Means at Most Brisbane Storage Yards

This is worth checking before you sign anything, because the gate hours are the part nobody reads until the day they need something at 5am. Every figure below was read from each operator's own Google Business Profile on 7 August 2026, the day this page was written.

Mobile and containerised operators can be tighter again. Super Easy Storage tells customers on its own Brisbane page that access runs six days a week and that you need to give two business days' notice so your unit can be made ready. That is a different product to a yard you can drive into, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying.

Access hours change, so do not take our word for it. Search the yard you are considering on Google and look at the Access line under its listing. It comes straight from the operator and it is the fastest honest answer you will get.

Five things to ask any storage yard before you book

  • What time does the gate actually open and close? Not the office hours. The gate.
  • Is after-hours access extra? Some operators sell 24/7 as an upgrade on top of the rent.
  • Do I need to give notice to get to my own things? If the answer is anything other than no, it is not self storage in the way you are picturing it.
  • Can I drive right up to my unit? Or is there a lift, a corridor and a trolley between the car and the door.
  • What is the surface? Sealed bitumen stays usable in the wet. Gravel and crusher dust do not.

Why the Gate Hours Cost You Money

The hours only matter on the days they matter, and then they matter a lot.

  • Early starts. A tradie on a 6:30am site start cannot wait for a 9am gate.
  • Late finishes. Market stallholders, event crews and food vans pack down well after dark. A 9pm lockout means the van sits on the street overnight.
  • Weekends and public holidays. Boat out on Saturday morning, camping gear on Good Friday, none of it fits business hours.
  • Shift work. If your day starts when everyone else's ends, a 9 to 5 gate is useless.
  • The emergency. The one document, the one part, the one box. Always at the wrong hour.
  • No surcharge. Our 24/7 access is included in the rent. There is no after-hours fee and no weekend rate.

24/7 Storage Pricing

How the Access Works

When you book, you get your own PIN for the gate. Enter it on the keypad, the gate opens, you drive in and pull up at your container or bay. Your container is closed with your own padlock, so you are the only person with a key. When you are done you drive out. There is nobody to meet, nothing to book and no phone call to make.

Who This Is For

Tradies and contractors. Load the ute at 5am and go straight to site. More on our tradies storage page.

Small business and online sellers. Pick and pack when the orders come in, not when a gate lets you. See business storage.

Food vans, coffee carts and market traders. Pack down at 11pm, out again at 5am, on an open-air bay at $250 a month.

Shift workers. Nurses, drivers, airport and rail crews. Your hours are the whole point.

Boat, caravan and trailer owners. Leave at dawn on a Saturday without planning around a gate. See vehicle storage.

Security Around the Clock

Round-the-clock access is only worth having if the yard is secure at 3am as well as 3pm.

  • Gated entry, individual PIN per customer, and the system logs entries and exits.
  • CCTV covering the yard, recording continuously.
  • Your own padlock on your own container. We do not hold a key.
  • Sealed bitumen throughout, so the yard is drivable in the wet and at night.
  • 200+ five-star Google reviews and SSAA accreditation.

The Honest Bit

Check what "24/7" actually means at any yard, including ours. Some nearby yards advertise round-the-clock access on their Google listing while their own website says something narrower. One neighbouring Archerfield operator publishes "24/7 Access Available" as a headline, then states on the same site that move-in and access run 7am to 7pm daily and that anything outside those hours "requires a call or message to the property manager" (read from their own site, 7 August 2026). Ours is a PIN on the gate with nobody to ring. Where 24/7 genuinely separates us is against the big chains, which is who most people are actually comparing us against, and the table above is why. If you are choosing between us and another container yard nearby, compare on price, on whether you can drive right up to the door, on the surface underfoot, and on whether there is a lock-in contract.

There is no power at the yard. Not in the containers and not on the bays. If you are visiting after dark, bring a torch or a head-lamp. The yard is monitored by CCTV, but you will want your own light inside a container at night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 24/7 access really included at no extra cost?

Yes. Every container and every bay includes it. No after-hours fee, no weekend surcharge, no access windows.

Do I need to book or call ahead?

No. Turn up whenever you like, enter your PIN, drive in.

Can I get in on public holidays?

Yes, 365 days a year. Christmas Day, Easter and ANZAC Day included.

Is it safe to visit at night?

The yard is gated, PIN-controlled and covered by CCTV. Bring a torch if you are going inside a container after dark, because there is no power on site.

Do other Brisbane storage yards offer genuine 24/7 access?

Some do and some do not, and the difference is bigger than most people expect. Checked on 7 August 2026, Storage King Acacia Ridge opens at 6am, Bob's Acacia Ridge at 5:30am, and Storage King and National Storage at Salisbury both at 9am. Super Easy Storage asks for two business days' notice. Check the operator's own website as well as their Google listing, because the two often disagree. On 7 August 2026 one neighbouring Archerfield yard showed "Open 24 hours" on Google while its own site said 7am to 7pm with after-hours access by arrangement.

What can I actually fit?

A 20ft container is roughly 6m by 2.4m, about 14 square metres, and takes the contents of a three to four bedroom house. A standard open-air bay is 6m long and suits a car, boat, trailer, caravan, food van or light machinery. It is open air, so there is nothing overhead to limit height. If your vehicle is longer than 6m, check with Jason on 0452 043 647 first.
