The combination is the one most trades end up on. The truck goes on the bay and the tools, materials, formwork, scaffold and spares go in a lockable container a short drive across the yard that you can back straight up to. Our tradies storage page covers that setup in detail.
Plant and Machinery
Wheeled and tracked plant is accepted on the open-air bays, driven in or floated in. Bobcats, mini excavators, rollers, scissor lifts and similar all park here, up to the 6m bay length. The surface is sealed bitumen throughout, so tracks and outriggers are not sitting in mud after a wet week.
The Honest Bit
The standard bay is 6m long, so measure before you book. Utes, vans, light trucks, work trailers and plant are all straightforward. Anything over 6m, including rigids, prime movers and truck and dog, will not fit a standard bay and we are not going to guess for you. Call or text Jason on 0452 043 647 with the length first. He will give you a straight answer rather than have you turn up and find out.
The bays are open air. No roof, no walls. The vehicle sits out in the weather as it would on a driveway. Nothing overhead, so height is not a constraint.
There is no power on the yard, on the bays or in the containers. You cannot charge a battery, run a compressor or plug in a trickle charger.
No mechanical work on site. The yard is for parking and storage, not servicing, and there is no wash bay and no water on the bays themselves. There is a water tap at the entrance to the facility.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size vehicles fit on a bay?
A standard bay is 6m long. That takes utes, short and mid-wheelbase vans, light trucks, work trailers and most wheeled or tracked plant. Because the bays are open air there is nothing overhead to limit height, so it is length that decides it, not height. If your vehicle is longer than 6m, call or text Jason on 0452 043 647 with the length before you book.
Can I get in before 6am?
Yes. Your PIN works at any hour, every day of the year, including public holidays.
Can I keep tools in the truck?
That is between you and your insurer. Most trades take a container alongside the bay and lock the tools in there instead, which is both cheaper to insure and easier to work out of.
Is the vehicle insured while it is here?
Your own motor insurance continues to apply, and you should tell your insurer where the vehicle is kept. We do not insure customers' vehicles. See our storage insurance guide.
Can I run the business from the yard?
No. It is parking and storage. You can load and unload, but it is not a depot or a workshop and there is no trading from site.
Can I take a bay for one month only?
Yes. Everything here is month to month with no lock-in and no bond, so a single job or a quiet season is fine. See short-term storage.
