Food Truck Storage and Coffee Van Parking Brisbane
Secure, drive-in parking for food trucks, coffee vans, market trailers and catering vehicles. Open-air bays on sealed bitumen at $250 a month including GST, close to the Ipswich Motorway at Archerfield, with gate access at any hour of the day or night.
Why Food Van Operators End Up Here
The trade runs on hours nobody else works. You pack down at 11pm after an event and you are loading again at 5am for a market. Most storage yards on Brisbane's southside lock their gates well before you finish and open well after you need to leave. Checked on 7 August 2026, Storage King at Salisbury and National Storage at Salisbury both open at 9am, and Storage King Acacia Ridge at 6am.
Our gate runs on a PIN, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at no extra charge. That is the whole reason this page exists.
The second reason is the street. A wrapped, branded van left on a residential street overnight attracts complaints and people trying the door handles. A gated yard with CCTV and a sealed surface solves that for less than most people expect.
The Honest Bit, and Please Read It First
There is no power at our yard. Not on the bays and not in the containers. You cannot plug in, run a fridge or freezer, charge a battery bank, or keep anything cold while it is parked here.
That rules us out for some operators and it is better you know now than after you have booked. If you need shore power to hold stock cold between trades, we are the wrong yard for you and you should look for a site that offers powered bays.
We are a good fit if you clear your fridges at the end of a trade and just need somewhere safe and reachable to leave the van, which is how most operators we speak to actually work.
The bays are open air. No roof and no walls. Nothing overhead to limit height, which suits a high van or a van with a rooftop unit, but your vehicle sits out in the weather exactly as it would on a driveway.
What It Costs
| What you get | Price per month |
|---|---|
| Open-air bay for a food truck, van, trailer or car | $250 |
| 20ft shipping container for gear, packaging and equipment | $349 |
| Bay plus container together | $599 |
All prices include GST. Month to month, no lock-in contract, no bond and no admin fees. Full rates on our pricing page.
The bay-plus-container combination is worth a thought if you are running out of space at home. The van goes on the bay, and the marquee, tables, trestles, signage and disposables go in a container a short drive across the yard that you can back straight up to.
Where We Are and How Long It Takes
675 Beaufighter Avenue, Archerfield QLD 4108, on the southside industrial belt beside Archerfield Airport. The yard sits close to the Ipswich Motorway and the Granard Road and Beaudesert Road corridors, which is the practical point for a food van: you are not threading a long vehicle through suburban back streets at 5am to get out.
Drive times to the yard from nearby suburbs are listed on our storage near me page.
Who Uses These Bays
- Food trucks and coffee vans working markets, festivals and corporate catering across the southside and the city.
- Mobile bars and dessert trailers that only trade weekends and need somewhere secure Monday to Friday.
- Caterers with a second vehicle that will not fit on the driveway alongside the daily car.
- Market stallholders storing a trailer, gazebos, trestles and signage between weekends.
- Operators between venues who have sold the van or paused trading and need it off the street for a few months.
What the Yard Actually Gives You
- 24/7 PIN gate access, included in the rent. No after-hours fee, no booking, no phone call. See our 24/7 storage page.
- Sealed bitumen throughout. Not gravel and not crusher dust. It stays drivable in the wet and it does not throw dust over a clean van.
- Drive-in, drive-out. Pull straight onto your bay. No reversing down a narrow aisle, no lift, no corridor.
- CCTV covering the yard, recording continuously.
- Month to month. Seasonal trade is lumpy. You are not locked in for a year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I run power to my van while it is stored?
No. There is no power anywhere on the yard, on the bays or in the containers. If you need to keep a fridge running or charge a battery bank on site, we are not the right yard for you.
How big a vehicle will fit?
A standard bay is 6m long, which suits coffee vans, catering trailers and compact food vans. Most purpose-built food trucks run past 6m, so measure yours. Because the bays are open air there is nothing overhead to limit height, so a tall van or a rooftop unit is not a problem and it is length that decides it. Larger food trucks can run past 6m, so measure yours and call or text Jason on 0452 043 647 with the length before you book if it is close.
Can I prep or serve food from the yard?
No. This is vehicle storage, not a commissary or a trading site. The yard is for parking the van securely between jobs.
Can I get to my van at 4am before a market?
Yes. Your PIN works at any hour, every day of the year, including public holidays.
Is my van insured while it is here?
Your own vehicle insurance continues to apply and you should tell your insurer where the vehicle is kept. We do not insure customers' vehicles. More on our storage insurance page.
Can I store stock and equipment as well as the van?
Yes. A 20ft container is about 6m by 2.4m and takes marquees, trestles, signage, packaging, disposables and equipment. Bay plus container is $599 a month together. Food stock cannot be stored, and neither can gas bottles or fuel, because there is no power on site and both are on our prohibited items list.
