What Does Boat Storage Cost in Brisbane?

An open-air boat bay at Storage Land in Archerfield is $250 a month, including GST. No bond, no admin fee, no lock-in.
That is about $57.69 a week, or $3,000 for a full year if the boat stays put. Most people do not leave it a full year, which is the point of month-to-month.
If you want the boat outside and the gear locked up beside it, a bay plus a private 20ft container is $599 a month together. That is where the safety gear, the skis, the ropes and the spare outboard usually end up.
Can you store a boat in a storage unit?
Not really, and this is the question behind most boat storage searches.
A boat on its trailer does not want to go inside a self-storage unit. You would need to reverse it through a roller door, down an aisle, and the trailer is what makes it awkward. Even where it fits, you are paying for four walls and a roof you do not need for a hull that lives outdoors half the year anyway.
An open-air bay is the honest answer for a trailered boat. You reverse in, unhitch, and drive out. Ours are drive-up on sealed bitumen, not gravel or crusher dust, which matters more than people expect in a Brisbane wet season because gravel yards pool water and grind into everything.
Dry storage, dry stack, and what you are actually paying for
Three different things get called boat storage and they are not priced alike.
Dry stack is the racked, forklift-in-and-out system you find at marinas. Convenient, and priced accordingly, often with minimum terms and limited availability close to the water.
Undercover or enclosed storage is the middle. You pay for the roof.
Open-air hardstand is a secured bay in a fenced yard. It is the cheap end, and for a trailered boat it is usually the sensible end. That is what $250 buys here.
What the $250 includes
- A drive-up bay on sealed bitumen
- 24/7 access, 365 days a year, on your own PIN
- Fully fenced, gated yard with CCTV
- Month to month, 30 days notice
- No bond, no admin fee, no exit fee
Access hours deserve a line of their own, because a 6am launch does not care what time an office opens. Checked on 7 August 2026 against each operator's own Google Business Profile: Storage King Salisbury and National Storage Salisbury both open at 9:00am, Storage King Acacia Ridge at 6:00am and Bob's Storage Acacia Ridge at 5:30am. Ours is a PIN and a gate, at any hour.
Will your boat fit?
A standard bay is 6m long and 2.45m wide. That takes small tinnies, jet skis and most trailer boats within that length. Measure on the trailer, including the drawbar, because that is how it parks. Anything longer than 6m on its trailer will not fit a standard bay.
Certain areas of our site are height restricted under the terms of our lease, so taller boats fit some bays and not others. If yours has a centre console, a wakeboard tower or an enclosed cabin, call or text Jason on 0452 043 647 with the height and length before you book and he will tell you straight away what we have available.
Two things to know before you compare prices
There is no power to the bays. No trickle charging a cranking battery on site.
There is no wash bay. There is a water tap at the entrance to the facility and nothing on the bays themselves, so the post-trip rinse happens before you arrive.
Neither is a surprise for open-air hardstand, and both are part of why it is $250 rather than a marina rate.
The short version
$250 a month, everything included, no lock-in, 5 to 20 minutes from more than 40 southside suburbs. The full detail is on the boat storage page, and every price we charge is on the pricing page.
