How Much Does Caravan Storage Cost in Brisbane?

An open-air caravan bay at Storage Land in Archerfield is $250 a month, including GST. That is the whole number. There is no bond, no admin fee and no lock-in contract, so the first month costs $250 and so does the twelfth.

Broken down the way people usually search for it, $250 a month works out to roughly $57.69 a week or $3,000 a year. Nothing is added for access, and nothing is added for the gate.

If you want lockable space for the annexe, the awning, the camp chairs and the tools as well as the van, a bay plus a private 20ft container together is $599 a month.

Access hours are worth pausing on, because they are where the money often hides. Checked on 7 August 2026 against each operator's own Google Business Profile: Storage King Salisbury and National Storage Salisbury both open at 9:00am, Car and Caravan Storage Brisbane at Salisbury opens at 8:30am, Storage King Acacia Ridge at 6:00am and Bob's Storage Acacia Ridge at 5:30am. If you are leaving for a trip at 4am on a Saturday, an opening time is a real cost even when it is not on the invoice.

What changes the price of caravan storage

Four things move the number, in roughly this order.

Indoor or outdoor. Undercover and fully enclosed caravan storage is the expensive end of the market. An open-air bay on a secure, sealed yard is the cheap end. Storage Land is open-air only.

Access hours. Some yards charge extra for after-hours or 24/7 entry, or restrict it entirely. Ours is included.

Contract length. Anywhere asking for six or twelve months is pricing for their occupancy, not yours. Caravan storage is seasonal for most people, so a month-to-month arrangement usually costs less over a year even at a higher headline rate.

Location. The further from where you actually live, the more the fuel and the hour of your Saturday cost you. Storage Land is 5 to 20 minutes from more than 40 southside suburbs.

Will your van fit, and what that has to do with the price

This is the part most cost guides skip, and it is the one that decides whether you pay anything at all.

A standard bay is 6m long and 2.45m wide. That suits pop-tops, camper trailers, hybrids and touring vans that measure under 6m including the drawbar. Measure yours with the drawbar, not without it, because that is how it parks.

Certain areas of our site are height restricted under the terms of our lease, so taller vans fit some bays and not others. Two things we do not have, said plainly

There is no power to the bays. None of them. If you need to keep a battery on charge, an open-air bay is not the right answer and no amount of price makes it one.

There is no wash bay. There is a water tap at the entrance to the facility, and that is it. No water on the bays themselves.

Both of those are part of why the bay is $250 rather than considerably more.

Is $250 a month good value?

For an open-air bay on sealed bitumen with genuine 24/7 access, no bond and no lock-in, on Brisbane's southside, we think so. But the honest version is this: compare it against what you would otherwise do. If the van currently sits on the street and your estate or body corporate has not complained yet, $250 buys you certainty rather than space. If it is taking up your driveway, it buys the driveway back.
