Embod is a Brisbane wellness business that grew from a boutique East Brisbane studio into a national distributor of recovery equipment - the infrared Body Roll machines it supplies to health and wellness studios across Australia. As the business scaled, founder Emily-Brooke LeBoydre needed somewhere secure and dry to hold imported machine stock between shipments, without committing to a full commercial warehouse while the venture was still finding its feet.

Why Storage Land

Emily chose a 20ft container at Storage Land in Archerfield. The containers sit elevated on timber blocks above a sealed bitumen yard, the site is monitored by 30+ security cameras, and terms are month-to-month with no lock-in. That let Embod flex its space with stock levels - scaling up in busy months and dropping back to a single 20ft container once stock sold through - for a lot less than a fixed warehouse lease would have cost at that stage.

The outcome

Container storage gave Embod secure, accessible space to support its rapid scaling, before the business grew into its own dedicated warehouse. It is a clear example of how flexible container storage helps a small business test and grow a new venture without being tied to a long, expensive lease.
